About Us
Mana Robotics is a German startup developing the world’s smallest, fully autonomous cooking robots, set to disrupt workplace catering and home cooking. We are based in Dresden, Germany and work hyper-focussed on applying breakthroughs in AI and robotics to food preparation.
Our vision: to make fresh and healthy meals available everywhere — by giving SMEs their own “autonomous canteens” and households access to a novel “meal-on-demand streaming platform”.
Your Role at Mana
You will implement and adapt Machine Learning methods that enable our devices to perceive and interpret their surroundings and generate motion — enhancing reliability, autonomy, and the overall user experience.
If you're excited by high-impact engineering with real-world applications, this is your opportunity!
In this Role, you will
- Implement and optimize Robot Learning and Computer Vision methods for object detection, and motion generation in our cooking environment.
- Develop a cloud computing architecture for centralized robot coordination, perception, and planning.
- Test reliable system performance across edge and cloud components, including fallback strategies and monitoring tools.
- Stay up-to-date with research trends in cloud robotics, computer vision, and robot learning — and apply them pragmatically to our product.
You might thrive in this Role if you
- Have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in software development for machine learning or robotics applications.
- Enjoy a fast-paced, small-team environment, where you’ll have a high degree of ownership and autonomy.
- Are passionate about building intelligent systems, from cloud-based orchestration to perception pipelines and robot learning models.
- Embrace a growth mindset, continuously refining your skills while navigating the progressively expanding field of robotics
- Are excited about working on-site at our Dresden headquarters, where you’ll collaborate with a dynamic, interdisciplinary team dedicated to redefining the boundaries of what’s possible in ultra-compact robotics.
